These Boots Were Made For Walking

Untitled #111

And that’s just what they’ll do!! Right into a brand new year! 2016 is upon is – and we have a feeling that winter is going to come at us full force. That means – boots, boots, boots! Snow boots, high heeled boots, walking boots – the list is endless according to your schedule. So we are starting off some posts of our favorite boots – with shorter booties. Depend on if your pairing yours with tights or pants, it’s important to notice the heigh of the ankle and the height of the heel. If you are wearing tights a higher ankle will look svelte and cute. If you’re opting for a pair of pants that will cover the top of the boot – a higher heel will look elongating. And since you can never have too many shoes – we’re inspiring you with a few of our favorites here! XO

5 Black Shoes You Need

Untitled #94
Let’s go back to the (shoe) basics – shall we? We shall! So – every season we switch out our shoes. It’s not like you’re wearing boots in August – right? Right. Okay so there are the basic shoes you need in your closet every season and then it’s easy to build upon the basics – just like if we are talking about clothes. Today we are listing the 5 basics for fall and winter (excluding winter boots that are necessary for snow)! Flats, pumps, booties, riding boots and heeled boots. They are interchangeable and go with many different outfits – depending on where you’re going and who you’re seeing! Flats and riding boots are the more casual of the five, while the heeled boots, booties and heels are the dressier of the five. All in all the five choices shown will transition you through every weather and event you have going on this holiday season! XO

Sunday Best

Untitled #48
Sunday is Easter! And even if you don’t celebrate this fun, colorful holiday, this is still the perfect spring ensemble to wear to work, a baby shower or bridal shower! It’s unofficially time to stop wearing those tights. We know – we are going to hear complaints about pale legs and cold temperatures, but there is not better time than the present. So do it! Break out the nude pumps and enjoy yourselves.

Suit Up

Untitled #39
In the 90’s we became accustomed to the “power suit” – the suit that was head-to-toe, 9-5, Ann Taylor chic. Yes, we are talking about the one colored suit (that may have had shoulder pads) and was really one of the only options for women in the workforce. Fast forward to 2015 and the options have completely shifted! Thank god! Now women should be turning to separates, to color, to flattering silhouettes! And we are here to help you figure out what that means. Today we paired a structured Tory Burch blazer with a leather pencil skit and a structured handbag. Its a little bit sweet and a little bit sassy! Love!

Gift Giving

Untitled #35
We’ve talked a lot about the little back dress recently, so why not continue on the same path? This weekend we will welcome the second month of the year, February. And February means Valentine’s Day. And this romantic, loving holiday will be here before you know it! So we will be sharing gift giving ideas throughout the next couple of weeks.
Today’s wrap up includes gifts that pair perfectly with the LBD. A gorgeous watch, statement jewelry (we are loving fun rings right now), emerald earrings, a plum handbag or new red lipstick! So whether you’re gifting a girlfriend, mother, sister or you want to share this post with your significant other (wink, wink) every gift in this round up is the ideal Valentines present!

Crimson Crush

Untitled #12
One of the best colors this season is a deep, crimson red. And it just so happens to look good on EVERYTHING. We mean everything – from nail polish to lipstick, earrings to the perfect purse. It’s a power color and it’s a gorgeous, saturated hue that looks good on many skin tones. As you shop for your nearest and dearest over the next couple of weeks you’ll be sure to see this gorgeous color everywhere. Don’t be afraid of it! Know that it is that perfect pop of color as we go into the season of giving. What do you love in this beautiful red?

Wedding Attire

Untitled #87
Summer is the season of weddings. Whether you are traveling to Cape Cod or the Bahamas, weddings will have you running to the local mall, only to leave in despair. Finding a great dress is hard! We suggest you stick to a color that makes your eyes pop! Saturated hues look best during the hotter months, because you already have a tan. If you are going for a bold color, stick to neutral accessories, like nude or silver heels and a simple clutch. You don’t want to overdo it! And if you’re dress has a higher neckline, it may be nice to add a ‘little something extra.’ A statement necklace is just darling with this dress. All that’s left to do after that – is dance! Have fun!

Spark-ly for NYE

Untitled #21
There is no better holiday than New Years to wear your best sparkles . A little glitter and glitz can go along way when you’re dancing the night away. We understand if the party venue isn’t fancy so we’ve incorporated two looks here today. We recommend pairing both of these ensembles with  metallic heel or strappy pumps.
So grab a glass of bubbly and  get ready to boogie down.
Welcoming 2014 in style is the great way to kick off the new year!
