That Perfect Accent

As women we can all agree that black is the perfect color. It’s hides everything! Every little nook and cranny that we’d prefer to look smooth and flawless hides within a shade of black. But when you wear black, you lose that punchy opportunity for color! And this season? Color is EVERYTHING. So we’re here to help you start bringing forth the color in creative ways. As you can see we really played on the complimentary colors of coral and lilac. If you’re going to go with a black dress, sunglasses, bag look for work – why not spice it up with a POP of color heels and coral lip. Super fun! XO

Spring Staples

 

We’ve got warmer, bright, spring-ier temps on our minds due to the early March heat wave. Don’t you? Are you day dreaming of summer nights by the bonfire and Springtime baseball games? So let’s get ahead of ourselves and do some spring shopping for closet staples! We’ve rounded up our favorites here – a cognac/ lightweight bag, pop of color red flats, nautical striped shirt, white jeans, green anorak, light wash jean jacket and long pastel pink cardigan. Teal & Pink

It’s January. It’s cold. And getting out of bed to get dressed in the morning isn’t exactly exciting. Staying under the covers sounds a letter better, right? So let’s make it easy! Tights! Check. Black boots! Check. A solid colored dress? Check! Easy – peasy right? Then adding accessories is a piece of cake. We started with a solid teal green foundation and decided to use a delicious pink raspberry color to compliment! We LOVE the idea of these pretty gardenia inspired hues together! XO

Holiday Hosting

Halloween is over and we are already on to the next holiday – Thanksgiving! This time of year brings out the best and the worst. Lots of unhealthy (albeit delicious) food and wonderful time spent with friends and family! Whether you are hosting this holiday season or attending a party or feast, it’s time to look your best. We are kicking off a month of holiday looks with an outfit that is both casual and dressy. You could easily wear this dress with a pair of boots and tights, but why not break out the sparkles? The holiday time is once a year – live a little! XO

You’re A Peach

Fall has the best colors, doesn’t it? I mean we are always up for some mint and cotton candy pink come spring, but there is something about those dark jewel tones and soft neutrals (like camel and peach) that make us feel all cozy inside! Since it’s Friday, we decided to share a relaxed and casual look! Great for running around or enjoying football at a bar with friends. Whatever tickles your fancy! XO

Polka Dots & Pink

Pretty soon people are going to start talking about fall (GASP – we know, it’s hard to swallow)! But we are inching up on “back to school” season so it’s hard not to talk about fall trends (especially when there already in stores). So before we dive into comfy sweaters and darker colors, we thought we would treat you to a cute navy blue polka-dot pattern dress and pink bow wedges on this beautiful Monday morning! We love a chance to dress up and think a bit outside our comfort zone – so if you take anything out of this post? Use this short summer timeframe to think outside your usual look. Wedding Season

It’s no surprise here that it’s officially wedding season. From May through October, you see couples getting married – in the Bahamas, in Newport, in New Hampshire – all over the place! Which means you need to have a set of dresses and looks that travel with you easily to different locations. We suggest you stick with a neutral palette for accessories – much like the gold purse, shoes and necklace you see featured here. That way you can mix and match different colored dresses (both printed and not) easily, never having to buy multiple sets of accessories. And by all means – don’t forget to dance! XO

Sunday Best

Sunday is Easter! And even if you don’t celebrate this fun, colorful holiday, this is still the perfect spring ensemble to wear to work, a baby shower or bridal shower! It’s unofficially time to stop wearing those tights. We know – we are going to hear complaints about pale legs and cold temperatures, but there is not better time than the present. So do it! Break out the nude pumps and enjoy yourselves.

Our favorite accessory this week are statement earrings! How can you blame us? Look at this bling!! Some of our favorite earring/jewelry brands at the moment include Kate Spade New York, Loren Hope and BaubleBar. All these brands are affordable AND adorable! How can you beat that? As we enter a season where you may have multiple parties a week it’s easy to look in your closet and say “what am I going to were?!” Well, it’s easy to recycle clothing that are a neutral dark tone – navy, black, grey, and make it new with a statement earring! How easy is that?
