Black Out

Untitled #118

Instead of the white out – winter storm this weekend, we are taking things dark. As in all black everything. We know this look isn’t new and a lot of women love an all black ensemble. And if were being honest, we think you look really good in color. But the time to bust out your all black look is here and now – in the dead cold of winter! Enjoy! XO

Brrr! It sure is chilly out there! We are smack dab in the heart of winter now folks! So why not add some color to some rather dreary days?? We love to mix it up by taking rather bold colors like hot red and emerald green and tone them down a bit. Take for instance this color blocked ensemble. By pairing muted and pastel cranberry hues, you get a soft, comfortable palette! What do you think? This is totally an outfit that reads – hey! I’m put together, but I’m laid back. Who wouldn’t like that vibe? XO

Pale Pink

How lovely and lady-like is this all around look? Pale pink is such a classic color and when paired with black, it has a sort of Audrey Hepburn appeal in a way. Don’t you think? The pink accented by black accessories, pearls and dark red lipstick would look appropriate and  put together on a woman any age. Plus – it works for the office, a special engagement or a fancy dinner out. XO

Hot In Here!

Love, love, love, LOVE us some sunnies! Let’s face it – some of us will be heading on winter vacations in the next few months – February kids vacation? Weekend jaunt to Florida? Wedding in NAPA? So why not start thinking about your sunnies? They’re even essential during those sunny winter days! Today we are rounding up three different ‘types’ – black, natural and colorful/pattern. Plus – cat eye, aviator or round! We are crushing on ALL of them. What is your favorite? XO

Hot List: Winter Accessories

Untitled #113
One of the best things about winter is dressing up! Dressing head-to-toe in warm accessories. Fedoras, leather gloves, tall boots, fur coats, warm earmuffs – the options and colors are endless. Today we are featuring some of our absolute favorite winter accessories. Keeping a neutral color palette makes for a chic look – especially paired with a camel colored or black jacket. Adding a cognac, merlot or dark brown hats and gloves is so Parisian! We are in LOVE! xo

Teal & Pink

Untitled #115
It’s January. It’s cold. And getting out of bed to get dressed in the morning isn’t exactly exciting. Staying under the covers sounds a letter better, right? So let’s make it easy! Tights! Check. Black boots! Check. A solid colored dress? Check! Easy – peasy right? Then adding accessories is a piece of cake. We started with a solid teal green foundation and decided to use a delicious pink raspberry color to compliment! We LOVE the idea of these pretty gardenia inspired hues together! XO

Cozy & Comfy

Happy New Year!!
We can’t believe it’s January 2016! 2015 really flew by! Now that it’s officially winter and officially a new year – it’s time to invest in some quality sweaters for the cold months ahead. The ones featured here would go well with skirts, jeans, leggings! Plus – there are so many colors. We know black is always a good basic to head to, but why not try a luscious camel color or pewter grey? Certainly this is a closet necessity this month! XO

These Boots Were Made For Walking

Untitled #111

And that’s just what they’ll do!! Right into a brand new year! 2016 is upon is – and we have a feeling that winter is going to come at us full force. That means – boots, boots, boots! Snow boots, high heeled boots, walking boots – the list is endless according to your schedule. So we are starting off some posts of our favorite boots – with shorter booties. Depend on if your pairing yours with tights or pants, it’s important to notice the heigh of the ankle and the height of the heel. If you are wearing tights a higher ankle will look svelte and cute. If you’re opting for a pair of pants that will cover the top of the boot – a higher heel will look elongating. And since you can never have too many shoes – we’re inspiring you with a few of our favorites here! XO

First Day Back

Untitled #110

If you haven’t returned to work since before Christmas (and you don’t plan on doing so until Monday, January 4th) – this post is probably for you. You’re going to walk into the office next Monday – new year, people discussing their new goals and you’ll probably want to feel like you too have a little extra pep in your step! So why not wear something that does that? We love how calming this pink is. By making it the star in your first outfit back to work – you’ll make a statement. So put good intention into the atmosphere and start 2016 on the right foot. XO

Bling, Bling!

Bling, bling! Your favorite baubles are here for New Year’s! We love that New Years is such a fun holiday full of glittery goodness. Why not spice up an all black ensemble with some baubles? We are featuring five pretty different types of necklaces – a pop of color green necklace, a classic pearl necklace, two diamond/jeweled necklaces and a simple diamond drop necklace. All simple, gorgeous and appropriate for your night on the town! XO
