Different sunnies! In different shapes and shades, because hopefully a change in season means – MORE SUN! We know, we know – it snowed. And man is it tough. This weather is not ideal, but last year we were buried deep in snow – some comparably – it’s a light dusting. So why not encourage the sun, send some positive, sunny vibes into the universe with a new pair of sunglasses. And the ones featured above are the ones we are currently crushing on! XO

Love, love, love, LOVE us some sunnies! Let’s face it – some of us will be heading on winter vacations in the next few months – February kids vacation? Weekend jaunt to Florida? Wedding in NAPA? So why not start thinking about your sunnies? They’re even essential during those sunny winter days! Today we are rounding up three different ‘types’ – black, natural and colorful/pattern. Colors of the Season

You’re A Peach

Fall has the best colors, doesn’t it? I mean we are always up for some mint and cotton candy pink come spring, but there is something about those dark jewel tones and soft neutrals (like camel and peach) that make us feel all cozy inside! Since it’s Friday, we decided to share a relaxed and casual look! Great for running around or enjoying football at a bar with friends. Whatever tickles your fancy! XO

Sunnies!

We hadn’t done an accessory round up in quite a bit and given that we are smack dab in the middle of summer – we figure that a post containing our favorite sunglasses is the perfect remedy for a beautiful Thursday morning. Sunglasses can be hard. People have different face shapes! This makes it hard to wear a “trendy” pair of sunnies instead of a pair that are made for your face. Our favorites include black round sunnies, aviators, cat-eye (they make your face look skinnier), pop of color, oversized and tortoise shell! Each have a fun detail and are perfect for a plethora of summer plans! Happy shopping! XO

Casually Cute

We thought we’d spice up our usual work outfit ensemble with an outfit that is a bit more laid back – think casual, but cute enough to wear to dinner! At the end of the day we don’t always have to wear dresses and skirts and suits – white jeans are exceptionally comfortable and a striped white and navy sweater is easy, peasy! And we always need a POP of color – so the coral flats take the cake – as is the Kyle Alexandra way! XO

Sunny Days

Due to this hot, sticky weather – we’re inspired! Yes – inspired to cool off. Preferably by the pool or at the beach. A quick dip would solve the case of frizzy hair and sticky skin we have going on – in no time flat! So today we’ve rounded up a cute little poolside look. Pop your favorite magazines in your pool bag, grab your sunnies and hit the pool deck! You’re sure to cool OFF! XO

Cobalt Craze

You hear us talk about jewel tones often, but highlighting one specific jewel tone at a time may be to your benefit. A color palette can be extremely subjective and, at times, hard to create. There are hundreds of shades of blue, so today we are highlighting this beautiful color: cobalt! It resembles sapphire and is extremely saturated. And just like most things: there is a right and wrong way to do cobalt. Rock this pretty blue by wearing a slouchy sweater, snood scarf, aviator sunglasses or even a swing skirt! Do not try to wear cobalt in a leather jacket, pair of tights or severe eye shadow. What are you waiting for? Go grab some cobalt!

Color Crush

There are so many shades of orange, it’s hard to choose which is our favorite. Coral, tangerine, sherbet and creamsicle are just some of the forms of this punchy, summer hue that has been tickling our tastebuds. From flowers to purses, beach towels to tumblers, orange is having a major moment, and the KA team is totally on board. We have to say that the rich, saturated orange reminds us of our favorite design houses, Hermes and Tory Burch. They expertly weave the color into jackets, home decor – even jewelry!

Summer is the perfect time to find the perfect pair of sunglasses for your facial structure. There are many types of facial structures. They include round, diamond, heart, rectangle, oblong, pear, oval and inverted triangle. It doesn’t matter which type of facial structure you have, it matters how you style it! There are many types of sunglasses to choose from. Whether you are into cat eye or aviators, there are certain brands that will mesh well with your style. For a square shaped face or a round face aviators will do quite well. A pair of thick rimmed round glasses will also fit perfectly. If you have more of a heart shaped face we suggest cat eye sunnies. If your face is more oval, we suggest a pair of overused sunglasses. There are many shapes and brands to try, so we suggest you ask for help! Have fun!
